We are pleased to introduce four new colleagues to our team!

19. October 2023

Welcome to Marius Føreland, Fredrik Auestad, Turid Tønnessen Lie and Espen André Hasle, who we are so pleased to welcome to the Port of Kristiansand.

"It's fantastic to be able to welcome knowledgeable, resourceful and vital young people. These people are crucial to the transformation the port is facing, both in terms of digitalization, automation and the green shift. They possess the basic subjects that are the foundation of our business, while also possessing interest and expertise in the above-mentioned areas that will take us further." Atle Johannessen, Port Director

Espen and Fredrik are based in the maritime department, and have quickly become familiar faces in the port. Espen focuses on ferries and storage on land, while Fredrik mainly focuses on cruises and developing good procedures and routines for cruise calls.

Espen comes from Solstad Offshore where he worked as First Mate on the ship Normand Drott. Fredrik has worked for Tidewater as Chief Mate. Both have an anchor tattoo, which is obviously mandatory when working at sea. Now they have become landlubbers and they love it!

When asked what it's like to work at the port and what they like best about their working day, both cite a good working environment and new, exciting challenges.

In the operations department, we have been lucky enough to recruit Marius and Turid as new crane operators. Marius comes from Volvo Maskin Service Kristiansand and has a certificate as a construction mechanic. Turid has a certificate as an industrial mechanic and machine operator, and has been employed at Avfall Sør for almost seven years.

"It's great to work here. The best thing about the day is the great variety of work!" Marius

"I'm constantly learning new things, so I find it exciting. I feel very well received and look forward to the years ahead." Turid
