The Port of Kristiansand is the region's leading port for general cargo, bulk and project cargo.
We are continuously working to further develop the port section in Kongsgård/Vige to provide the best and most efficient solutions for our users. The terminal has its own exit from the E18 to optimize distribution to and from the port district.
In Mandal, there are several port facilities used for bulk/bulk cargo. Stømsvika is under development, but there are operations there today. On the west side of the bay is a timber quay that is in full operation today. The quay is 120m long with a sailing depth of about 11m. Timber is mainly unloaded here.
On the east side of Strømsvika there are two piers that make up the stone quay. In the area on the eastern side of the cove there is blasting of stone that is shipped out here. The water depth in front of the pier on the eastern side of the bay is about 8m.
On Gismerøya there is a quay facility that is 170m long and has a sailing depth of 10.5m. The quay can accommodate several types of vessels, but is mainly used by bulk and general cargo ships.
