The port conference is organized by the Port of Kristiansand in collaboration with Agder County Council, Business Region Kristiansand, Næringsforeningen i Kristiansandsregionen, Shortsea Promotion Center, Havnemagasinet and Norske havner.

The conference itself is divided into four parts. Port development and framework conditions, My ship is loaded with, where cargo owners are in focus. The shipping companies' requirements, Global Outlook, dedicated international guests under the theme. With this four-leaf clover, we offer something for everyone and ensure a wide range of participants. In the evening, it is also possible to attend the popular conference dinner.


The port conference goes international

Since its inception in 2013, the annual Port Conference in Kristiansand has developed into one of the country's most important meeting places for everyone involved in maritime transport, shipping and port policy. The conference has also attracted attention beyond national borders. Now we're raising our sights and reaching out to an international audience too.

Innovation hub August 21

The day before, August 21, 2024, you can attend the Innovation Hub organized by Shortsea Promotion Centre and Norwegian Ports. This is the arena for sharing innovative solutions from different industries that challenge participants' thinking about future transportation solutions. A very good run-up to the Port Conference the following day. More information to come.

Port gathering with PwC "the day before the day" 21 August - Ownership control, dividends and organization

PwC has created a meeting place that is focused on the port director/management team in Norwegian ports. For the fourth time, we welcome you to an informal port gathering the day before the Port Conference. The theme this year is "ownership control, dividends and organization", following the introduction of the new Ports and Waters Act. Many ports have either undergone, or are about to undergo, a change of organizational form where governance, control and dividends are current topics.
