All quays, with the exception of Kleven quay, have ISPS approval, which means that ships can go to the quay and be confident that unauthorized persons will not come close to the ship. Port security is required by law and requires that everyone who is to be within the fences must have had training and be approved by Kristiansand Havn IKS.

The Gismerøya port facility is approved for calls by all types of vessels in accordance with international conventions. The quay is 170 m long and has a load-bearing capacity of up to 10 tons/sqm. The sailing depth at the quay is 10.5 m. Calls must be arranged and reported to the port office no later than 24 hours before the call. Access and transportation at the port facility requires a transport agreement, ID card and driving permit.

There are shore power facilities with 400 volt/125 amp at the north end and a 1200 kva facility is being established at the south end.

Gismerøya fishing port, Mandal

The boats are moored in the quay at Gismerøya as shown on the map. There is a total of about 200m of mooring space on both sides of the floating dock facility. For permanent space and use of electricity in the fishing port, an agreement must be made with the Port of Kristiansand.Utrustningskaien is for short moorings in connection with rigging, loading or unloading of the fishing boats. Fishermen must coordinate the use of this quay among themselves.

Strømsvika Port facility is under construction, but the timber quay is completed and in full operation. This is located on the west side of the bay and the quay here is 120 m long with a sailing depth of about 11 m, 50-ton bollards in addition to two 250-ton bollards north and south of the quay.

On the east side of Strømsvika there are two piers that make up the stone quay where stone is blasted out to create more industrial plots. Blasted stone is shipped out from the eastern side of Strømsvika on the stone quay where the depth in front of the piers is about 8m.

Sodevika Tankanlegg is a special facility for receiving and storing oil. The quay can also be used as a waiting quay/other. This is a quay with a length of 70 m and a sailing depth of approx. 12 m

Reserve quay and former traffic port - no ISPS approval - with a length of approx. 100 m and a depth at the quay of approx. 8 m. The quay is also used periodically for storage of ships.

There is an available shore power system of 400 volts / 600 amps with available connectors: 125amp, 63amp, 32 amp, 16 amp south of the quay. North of the quay there is a smaller 230-volt system with available sockets for 2 x 125 amp, 4 x 63 amp, 8 x 32 amp and 16 x 16 amp.
