We warmly welcome Harald J. Solvik, and this time with physical office space in Gravane 4.
Who is he?
Harald was born and raised in Måløy, but has now lived in Søgne for over 20 years. He has been involved in infrastructure for a long time, but this is his first time in the maritime industry. Or rather, he has work experience from the fishing industry in Måløy as a production worker in his youth.
A quick summary of Harald's background:
Harald comes to the port from Nye Veier where he was project manager for the E39 highway, where his role involved leading the development of the highway west from Kristiansand. Prior to this, he has worked in the construction industry and in the Air Force. And in his home municipality, as head of the technical sector, where he worked closely with the Port of Måløy. A good man who has sat on many of the most important seats around the table related to infrastructure.
What motivates you with this position?
The Port of Kristiansand has important functions, tasks and challenges to be solved, as I have gotten to know the port from before, and in the dialogue we have had in the recent process. The Port of Kristiansand has established a good strategy and clear goals, within better services for the maritime industry, urban development and sustainable solutions. I want to contribute to the importance and reputation of the Port of Kristiansand being further understood by all the stakeholders around us.
On a personal level, I am curious to move towards what is new, exciting and challenging, working with new colleagues and stakeholders. And at the same time, it should be socially beneficial; make sense beyond being satisfied with our own results or only counting success in monetary terms.
We are confident that you will fit in well with us, and look forward to getting to know you better!
