Today we have a somewhat rare sight in Kristiansand – two cruise ships visiting at the same time. Normally we practice a one-ship policy, but weather conditions meant that the ship that was going to Mandal had to be moved here.
Throughout the weekend we have been following developments closely. In dialogue between the ship's captain, the pilots and the Port of Kristiansand, it became clear that swell in the Mannefjord would make it unsafe to transport passengers by tender boats. Safety always comes first, and the solution was therefore to offer Kristiansand as an alternative.
This way, guests can still experience the many great trips and destinations throughout Agder – and the region still gets to enjoy its visit. We warmly welcome all cruise guests to the city and the region!
