The first six months have been a good period for the Port of Kristiansand IKS.
The total number of calls as of the first quarter of 2024 was 1402. This includes calls from ferries, cruises, freight, offshore and fisheries. The cruise season started in January and it looks set to be a record year. In April, we had full utilization of Lagmansholmen with more than seven ships at berth and more than 1,235 meters of quayside in use.
Shore power is increasingly in demand, the physical infrastructure in the port is developing and there is a lot of activity in the Lindesnes port district.
And true to tradition, the Port Conference will be held in Kristiansand on August 22. The day before, you can get more information by attending Shortsea Promotion Center's Innovation Hub and PWC's Port Manager Forum. Welcome to two full days of maritime knowledge sharing.
Have a great summer!
