Kristiansand Harbour: Revised strategy for a sustainable future

10 December 2024

Norway's most accessible port with an eye on 2030.

Kristiansand Harbor is strategically located as a hub between Norway, Europe and the world. Through our new strategy, we will ensure that the port continues to be "The Gateway to Europe" by delivering sustainable, innovative and forward-looking solutions for the benefit of our customers and the society we serve.

Sustainability and innovation in focus
The port is a critical part of the infrastructure that handles 90% of all goods that come to Norway by sea. Our role in security of supply, preparedness and support for the local and regional business community is more important than ever. The EU has set high demands on ports to contribute to a climate-neutral Europe by 2050, and this is central to our strategy.

Our goals towards 2030

With sustainable solutions, we will continue to be a driving force for the local and regional business world. We are strengthening the infrastructure for goods, passengers, fisheries and offshore, while at the same time transforming Lagmannsholmen and exploring multimodal logistics opportunities.

The community mission in the centre
Through our social mission, we will deliver efficient operations, innovative development and robust preparedness. We strive to be open, trust-building and a solid value creator for the region.
