Port of Kristiansand IKS increases the fairway fee from NOK 0.16 per gross ton to NOK 0.20
The fairway fee is a fee paid by all ships calling at the ports of Kristiansand and Lindesnes. It is a fee based on the cost price principle, which means that any increase in the fee must be based on increased costs related to the work performed. The minimum fee per call is set at NOK 320,-.
For 2023, the following discounts apply:
- Ships on a fixed route with more than one call per week receive a 20% discount
- Ships on a fixed route with one to four calls per month receive a 15% discount
- Ships that only call at the port for bunkering, provisioning or crew change are given an 80% discount (Route plans must be approved by the port)
Vessels that are exempt from fairway dues:
- Vessels with a maximum length of less than fifteen (15) meters
- Salvage and icebreaking vessels in connection with salvage and icebreaking
- Naval vessels, coast guard, Norwegian and foreign
- The Norwegian Coastal Administration's vessels in connection with work in the fairway
- The Governor of Svalbard's service vessel and the Norwegian Polar Institute's vessel in connection with work in the fairway on Svalbard
- Vessels entering port due to damage or emergency and the vessel is not loading, unloading or embarking passengers
