Gravane and Fiskebrygga will be temporarily closed to recreational boats on Thursday, May 8th.

May 6, 2025

On Thursday, May 8th, between 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM, Gravane and Fiskebrygga will be closed to recreational boats. The reason is that the Port of Kristiansand is carrying out its annual underwater cleanup operation in the area, with the help of professional divers.

Important maintenance – both for the environment and safety
The clean-up operation is part of our ongoing maintenance work, and is about more than just keeping the seabed clean. The purpose is to remove waste and objects that could pose a danger to both the environment and traffic in the port. Everything that is collected is handled and disposed of responsibly, in line with our environmental goals and ISO 14001 certification for environmental management.

This is a concrete measure in line with our sustainability strategy, where we commit to operating a safe, responsible and environmentally friendly port – both above and below the waterline.

Thank you for your understanding.
We hope for your understanding that this important work will result in a temporary closure for recreational boats. From Thursday evening we will welcome you back to Gravane and Fiskebrygga. Should the weather gods show their best side, we encourage everyone who can to use their legs this day and enjoy the area from land.
